There is generally a feeling among most audiences that Sri Vishnu’s films are a minimum guarantee. His previous film “Single” also fell into the same category. It managed to collect reasonably well at the box office. In the Sankranti release “Nari Nari Naduma Murari” starring Sharwanand, Sri Vishnu appeared in a guest role. The film “Vishnu Vinyasam,” starring Sri Vishnu and Nayan Sarika as the lead pair, was released on Friday. It must be said that this movie, directed by Yadunath Marutirao, did not entertain the audience with as much laughter as the film unit had claimed. This is his first film as a director. Coming to the story of the film, the hero Vishnu works as a Junior Lecturer (JL) in a college. Brahmaji and another faculty member, fearing that Sri Vishnu and Satya would threaten their positions, try to get them removed from the college.
However, Nayan Sarika, who works in the same college, agrees to appoint Sri Vishnu as a JL under her. That is when the real story begins. Both Sri Vishnu and Nayan Sarika struggle to get marriage alliances finalized. One of the reasons is Sri Vishnu’s obsession with horoscopes. Nayan Sarika tries to bring Sri Vishnu, whom she appointed as a JL under her, onto her path. Whether their love succeeds and what twists arise in between form the crux of “Vishnu Vinyasam.” In this film, since it is a comedy role that he is accustomed to, Sri Vishnu carried it off with ease. However, it must be said that the level of comedy expected by the audience from Sri Vishnu is not fully present in this film. Nayan Sarika impressed as a girl of this generation with her performance.
But it has to be said that she did not get a role with much depth. It is known that she excelled with her performance in the film “Aye.” She has a good role here as well, but there is limited scope for performance. Most of the film revolves around the college and the hero and heroine. The remaining characters appear briefly and disappear. Even the twist that comes in the climax feels similar to what has been seen many times in previous films, so the audience may not find much novelty in it. Murali Sharma, Satyam Rajesh, Goparaju Ramana, and Satya appear in other key roles in this film. Overall, “Vishnu Vinyasam” stands as a routine entertainer. At many points, the film reminds one of Ravi Teja’s movie “Venky.”
