Pawan Kalyan Achieves Rare International Honor in Kenjutsu

Jana Sena chief and Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s passion for martial arts from the very beginning is well known to everyone. Whenever he got a chance, he also tried to showcase them in his films. Pawan Kalyan has demonstrated his talent not only as an actor but also as a writer, director, stunt coordinator, choreographer, and singer, excelling in multiple fields. He is now making his own mark in politics as well. Proficient in martial arts, Pawan Kalyan has added a rare achievement to his credit. By officially entering the ancient Japanese sword-fighting art of “Kenjutsu,” he has attained a great international honor. As a testament to more than three decades of disciplined practice, research, and dedication to martial arts, this rare world-level recognition has been achieved, the Pawan Kalyan team officially announced.

                                           Pawan Kalyan’s martial arts journey began even before he entered films and politics. With immense interest in karate and related combat arts, Pawan Kalyan, during his time in Chennai, underwent rigorous training and continuous practice, building a strong technical and philosophical foundation. Over time, without limiting himself to physical practice alone, he deeply studied and researched Japanese Samurai martial traditions and followed them with utmost dedication. His understanding of martial arts was also reflected in his films. Through movies like Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi, Thammudu, Khushi, Annavaram, and OG, he showcased these martial arts on screen, bringing them wide recognition and popularity.

                                                      Recognizing his continuous and long-term dedication to martial arts, international organizations have conferred several prestigious honors on Pawan Kalyan. From “Sogo Budo Kanri Kai,” one of the most respected institutions in Japanese traditional martial arts, he received the Fifth Dan (5th Dan) award. Along with this, he became the first Telugu person to gain entry into the “Takeda Shingen Clan” under “Soke Muramatsu Sensei” outside Japan. This is an honor that is very rarely bestowed outside Japan. Furthermore, he was also felicitated with the distinguished title “Tiger of Martial Arts” by the Golden Dragons organization. As part of advanced training, Pawan Kalyan received training from eminent Budo expert Hanshi Professor Dr. Siddiq Mahmoodi, one of the foremost authorities in Japanese martial arts in India.

                                             Under his guidance, Pawan Kalyan received comprehensive training in “Kendo,” acquiring high-level technical skills and deep philosophical understanding. Through this milestone, Pawan Kalyan has earned a special place as one of the very few Indian personalities who have been able to integrate cinema, classical martial arts, and martial philosophy on an international platform. In the view of martial arts practitioners and fans, Pawan Kalyan’s entry into Kenjutsu is not merely an honor but a reflection of a lifelong journey filled with values such as discipline, humility, and continuous practice. It was stated that these values are deeply connected not only to martial arts but also to Pawan Kalyan’s personal principles.
