The movie Hey Balavanth, starring Suhas and Shivani Nagaram as a pair, has been released. It is known that just a few days before its release, the title of the film was changed from Hey Bhagavan to Hey Balavanth. After watching the movie, anyone would definitely feel that the censor board made the right decision. Suhas, who could not achieve the expected results with his previous films, had high hopes for Hey Balavanth. Directed by Gopi Achhar, the movie was released to the audience on Friday, while paid premiere shows were held on Thursday night itself. From childhood, the hero has only one target — to take over his father’s business. He believes that having just a degree is enough; one needs to study well only for a job, but to handle his father’s business, there is no need to be a topper in studies. He even tells this to his school teacher. Since childhood, he keeps asking his father at least once to take him to their office. But each time, his father Naresh skips it. Thinking this won’t work, the father sends his son from Guntur to Hyderabad for studies. After completing his MBA in Hyderabad and returning, he once again tries to take over his father’s business as usual.
During this gap, the hero supports industries run with the help of an NGO, offering advice and helping them move towards profitability. At that time, he grows close to Shivani Nagaram, who runs the NGO. Suddenly, when his father falls ill one day, Suhas goes to the office to find out what business his father actually does — and his mind is blown. What follows, as the hero struggles without knowing what exactly his father’s business is, becomes the highlight of the movie. The film revolves around the hero’s attempts to somehow get rid of it and the challenges he faces in the process. The comedy surrounding Naresh’s business, which is central to the story, holds the movie together. On one hand, the director entertains the audience thoroughly with comedy, and on the other hand, he handles the emotions well in the climax. Hero Suhas has done full justice to his role in this film. He delivered a good performance according to the situations.
The highlight of the movie is undoubtedly Naresh’s performance. Especially in the climax scenes, both the acting and the background music were outstanding. Compared to his previous films, Sudarshan got a better role in this one and entertained the audience well. Though Ajay Ghosh plays a serious role, Vennela Kishore, who plays his son, also impresses. Babumohan, Harshavardhan, and Annapurna appear in other key roles. Heroine Shivani Nagaram repeatedly saying that hers is a traditional family, and the developments that follow, generate good laughter in the movie. Overall, it can be said that with Hey Balavanth, Suhas seems to be back on track.
