Shares of leading pharmaceutical company Laurus Labs have set another record in the stock market. The company, which has delivered good returns to investors over the past few months, achieved another milestone on Monday. For the first time, Laurus Labs shares crossed the ₹2,000 mark. On the BSE, the share price reached a 52-week record high of ₹2,023. Later, following profit booking, the stock finally closed at ₹2,018, with a gain of ₹63. Market sources revealed that foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have been increasing their stake in the stock over the past few months.
At the same time, good growth opportunities in the CDMO segment are also working in favour of the company. There are expectations that the momentum in the company’s share price may continue in the coming days as well. Meanwhile, despite international tensions, the market gained on Monday as crude oil prices fell significantly. The BSE Sensex closed at 74,859 points, gaining 564 points. Most of the shares in the Sensex ended with gains.
