Tata Power Brings EZ Home Automation to Hyderabad

Update: 2026-04-22 10:43 GMT

Tata Power has launched its Tata Power EZ Home Solutions in Hyderabad, bringing intelligent, easy-to-use smart home technologies to one of India’s fastest-growing urban hubs. Backed by Tata Power’s legacy of trust and innovation, EZ Home enables seamless app-based control of lighting, climate, security, and energy management delivering enhanced comfort, safety, and operational efficiency while supporting sustainable living. Designed for modern urban lifestyles, the solutions offer a connected and hassle-free living experience with greater control at users’ fingertips. The Tata Power EZ Home portfolio includes smart sockets, touch panel switches, retrofittable converters, and motion sensors that integrate effortlessly into existing electrical setups without major modifications. This makes the solutions suitable for both newly constructed homes and established residences across Hyderabad.

With built-in overload protection and intelligent automation features, EZ Home enhances appliance safety during voltage fluctuations and power surges. Automated scheduling ensures appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, fans, and washing machines operate only when required - minimising unnecessary power consumption. Importantly, the system is designed to offer offline functionality, ensuring uninterrupted performance even during limited internet connectivity. For a typical urban household operating multiple high-usage appliances, EZ Home automation can reduce electricity consumption by approximately 15% annually. This translates to savings of over 1,300 units of electricity per year, helping households reduce annual power expenses by around ₹10,000. The reduced consumption also offsets nearly 1.1 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, equivalent to planting about 15 trees each year.

A significant share of these savings comes from intelligent air-conditioning optimisation, which prevents over-cooling and unnecessary runtime, supported by automated scheduling and real-time monitoring of appliance usage. To enable first-hand experience, an interactive experiential demonstration wall was showcased at the launch venue, allowing visitors to engage with automation features, simulate real-life scenarios, and visualise potential energy savings.

As a city known for its rapid urban expansion and strong technology-led ecosystem, Hyderabad is witnessing growing demand for smarter, more efficient living solutions. Tata Power EZ Home aligns with this evolution, offering reliable, scalable, and future-ready home automation designed for enhanced convenience, security, and energy efficiency. The launch in Hyderabad is part of Tata Power’s EZ Home - ‘100 Cities, 1 Purpose’ initiative, aimed at making smart and efficient living accessible, affordable, and practical for modern Indian homes across metros as well as Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
