V.V. Lakshminarayana. A name that needs no introduction to the people of the Telugu states. Retired IPS officer Lakshminarayana has joined Evey Trans Private Limited, an associate company of Megha Engineering, in the post of Vice President – Operations. The company officially announced this. Evey Trans Private Limited is one of the leading electric bus operators in the country. Lakshminarayana, an IPS officer belonging to the Maharashtra cadre, investigated several cases registered against YSRCP chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy during his tenure as CBI Joint Director. He was also serving as CBI JD at the time of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s arrest. Later, in 2018, the Maharashtra government approved Lakshminarayana ’s VRS.
After bidding goodbye to his job, he joined the Jana Sena Party formed by Pawan Kalyan and contested from the Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency in the 2019 elections. After facing defeat in that election, he resigned from Jana Sena within a short period. Later, he also started a new political party. Having failed to achieve success in politics, his joining as Vice President of Evey Trans Private Limited, a Megha Engineering associate company, has gained significance. Lakshminarayana, who completed his M.Tech from IIT Madras, initially began his career in the automotive R&D division of Ashok Leyland, the company said in a statement. The company stated that Lakshminarayana’s experience in various fields will be very useful to them and welcomed him into their organization.
