One of the films that hit the box office this Sankranti with huge expectations was pan-India star Prabhas’s movie Raja Saab. The film was released worldwide on January 9, ahead of all others. However, the movie failed to meet audience expectations. Prabhas, who has been doing only action films consecutively for the past few years, suddenly announcing a shift to the horror-comedy genre under the direction of Maruthi itself left many surprised. The result turned out accordingly. Among the films released in the Sankranti race, except for Raja Saab, all other movies received positive talk, and this impact heavily affected Raja Saab’s collections as well.
Unable to achieve the expected result at the box office, the film is now heading to OTT. Raja Saab will be streaming on Jio Hotstar from February 9. Jio Hotstar officially announced this. The film features as many as three heroines opposite Prabhas. However, it can be said that only Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agerwal received some importance, while the third heroine, Riddhi Kumar, did not get proper prominence. Although the production house People Media Factory had high hopes for this film, the outcome proved to be a major disappointment.
