Axis My India is widely regarded as one of the most reliable agencies when it comes to exit polls. Although its predictions have occasionally gone wrong, the organization has built a strong reputation for providing largely accurate estimates and is considered one of the most trustworthy in the country. In the recently held Assembly elections across four states and one Union Territory, the primary focus of attention was on the results of West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. After the elections concluded, Axis My India was the only agency that predicted actor Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), would secure between 98 and 120 seats. It also estimated that the party would receive around 35% vote share.
What’s surprising is that many leading national media channels, along with several analysts, had predicted that the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) would return to power. As a result, very few believed that Vijay’s TVK would emerge victorious. However, Axis My India’s prediction has now proven correct. In a result that shocked many, TVK delivered a sensational victory in Tamil Nadu, decisively defeating both the ruling DMK and another major party, All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK). With this outcome, Axis My India and its Managing Director Pradeep Gupta have become major talking points across the country.
Even during the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections, Axis My India had provided highly accurate predictions. It had forecast that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi would win all seats within the GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) limits, while the Indian National Congress would perform strongly in rural Telangana—and the results reflected this prediction. Now, once again, their projections have turned out to be accurate in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections as well. However, Axis My India did not release exit poll predictions for the West Bengal Assembly elections, which drew significant criticism toward the organization. After the Tamil Nadu results were announced, Pradeep Gupta stated in a television interview that many people had laughed at their predictions about Vijay’s victory—but now, the truth has come out.
