The big-budget film Toxic is set to release this week. Starring Yash in the lead role, the film has generated huge expectations. Since this is Yash’s first film after the two-part KGF series became a massive success at the box office, there is considerable interest in the movie. However, the film has also faced criticism after its trailer and other videos, which have featured excessive violence and intimate scenes. Toxic is set to hit screens worldwide on Wednesday. Following the approval, advance bookings opened from Tuesday afternoon at the revised prices.
Theatres have been permitted to increase ticket prices by Rs 50 in single-screen theatres and Rs 100 in multiplexes. The revised prices will remain in effect for 10 days, and permission has also been granted for five shows per day. The production house has been instructed to deposit Rs 1 crore with the Telangana Film Industry Federation for the ticket price hike. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic features as many as five actresses alongside Yash. Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi are playing key roles in the film. The movie is scheduled to release in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam. The runtime of the film is reportedly a lengthy 3 hours and 14 minutes.
