The film Sigma stars Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah as the lead pair. Ever since the film was announced, interest in the movie has been growing among audiences. The main reason for this can be said to be the film’s director. Sanjay Jason, son of former actor and current Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, has provided the story and also directed the film. The film has been produced by the popular production house Lyca Productions. These factors generated good hype for Sigma. As this is also Sanjay’s first film as a director, there was curiosity among audiences about what kind of film Sigma would be. The movie hit the screens on Friday. Hero Sundeep Kishan runs a library that his mother loved dearly. The library does not generate much income. He tries to earn money by making videos with voiceovers based on old stories. On one hand, he is struggling with the debts incurred by his father.

On the other hand, with no income coming from either the library or YouTube, he notices that Faria, who works as a radio jockey, has a good voice and asks her to provide voiceovers for his videos. He offers to give her a share of the money earned. Their acquaintance eventually turns into love. While trying to figure out how to earn money to repay the debts incurred by his father, the hero unexpectedly finds a key. What does the key belong to? Will the hero be able to repay his father’s debts and save the library, which is a memory of his mother? That is what Sigma is about. Director Sanjay Jason has chosen a simple story for his first film.

However, there are not many interesting elements in it. The story and screenplay lack the grip needed to engage the audience. Among the cast, Sundeep Kishan has done justice to his role. The heroine Faria Abdullah’s character does not have much importance. If anyone got good roles in this film, they are Sampath Raj and Jagapathi Babu. Raju Sundaram also appears in a key role. In Sigma, the role of Magalakshmi Sudarshan, who is part of the team of Sampath Raj’s character, who appears as the villain, is impressive. Sigma ultimately remains just a routine film. It can be said that there is nothing particularly special about this first film in director Sanjay Jason’s career.
