Sensational director Rajamouli has landed in trouble. A complaint has been registered against him at the Saroornagar Police Station in Hyderabad. His recent controversial comments about gods during the Globe Trotter event held at Ramoji Film City created a huge uproar. On social media as well, criticism against director Rajamouli poured in. Many people questioned whether he makes films with divine themes just to earn money while saying he does not believe in God. A complaint has now been filed against Rajamouli for making comments on Lord Hanuman that allegedly hurt the sentiments of Hindus. The Rashtriya Vanara Sena lodged the complaint with the police. They requested that a case be registered against Rajamouli based on their complaint.
They urged the police to take action so that no one in the future makes inappropriate comments about Hindu deities. It is known that on November 15, an event was held at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad to reveal details about the Rajamouli–Mahesh Babu movie. During the event, a technical issue occurred. Rajamouli became somewhat upset and irritated by it. Speaking on stage, he said: “I don’t believe in God. My father Vijayendra Prasad told me, ‘Don’t worry. Hanuman will take care of everything. He will guide you from behind.’ But when the event stopped due to the technical glitch, I got angry thinking — is this how he guides? My wife Rama also loves Hanuman very much. But I was angry about why this happened.”
These comments became the reason for Rajamouli being trolled on social media. It is reported that the police are investigating the complaint filed by the Rashtriya Vanara Sena. On the other hand, a fresh controversy has now begun regarding the film's title as well. A complaint has been filed at the Film Chamber over the title Varanasi. A person complained that the title had already been registered under his name long ago. The movie, starring Mahesh Babu, is being made with a massive budget. In this film, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra will be acting opposite Mahesh Babu, while prominent Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran will be seen in the antagonist role. It remains to be seen whether this new controversy will settle like a storm in a teacup… and whether Rajamouli will offer any apology.
