Rashmika Mandanna continues to bag back-to-back opportunities and deliver successes at the pan-India level. With several projects already in her lineup, another prestigious project has now been added to her list. Rashmika recently wrapped up the shoot for Ranabali, in which she is starring alongside Vijay Deverakonda. Since this is their first film together after marriage, expectations surrounding the movie are quite high. On the other hand, Rashmika is also acting in the heroine-oriented film Mysaa. Among the legendary singers in the country, M. S. Subbulakshmi holds a special place. For quite some time, there have been reports that a biopic based on her life was in the works.
Now, an official announcement regarding the film has been made. As September 16 marks the 110th birth anniversary of M. S. Subbulakshmi, the film will be grandly launched in Chennai on the occasion. Rashmika Mandanna will portray the role of M. S. Subbulakshmi. Actor Kamal Haasan will attend the event in Chennai as the chief guest. The film will be directed by Gautham Tinnanuri and produced by Geetha Arts, while Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music. Sai Pallavi's name was initially considered for the biopic, but the opportunity ultimately went to Rashmika. The biopic will be titled MS Subbulakshmi Amma.
