Ram Charan's latest film Peddi has grossed ₹345 crore worldwide within its first week of release. The film's production team officially announced the achievement. Peddi was released globally on June 4 and has been performing strongly at the box office ever since. This is now the highest-grossing film among all the movies Ram Charan has carried as a solo lead hero. Earlier this year, his father Chiranjeevi's Sankranti release Mana Shankaravaraprasad crossed the ₹300 crore gross mark worldwide. Now, Peddi has gone a step further by collecting ₹345 crore, making it one of the biggest commercial successes of Ram Charan's career. According to Tollywood trade circles, the film's total collections could reach the ₹400 crore mark by the end of its theatrical run. Although the makers aggressively promoted Peddi as a pan-India film, a significant portion of its revenue has come from the Telugu states and overseas markets.
