The unexpected postponement of the film Akhanda 2 has shocked Tollywood. Everyone was stunned because no one anticipated that a Balakrishna film would be halted at the last minute, especially after all arrangements were completed for its release, due to the producers’ financial issues. After the postponement, various kinds of rumours started circulating on social media. Among the upcoming Sankranthi releases, the movie that everyone has their eyes on is Pan-India star Prabhas’ film Raja Saab. Producer TG Vishwa Prasad had already officially announced the release date of the film several times — stating that it would release worldwide on January 9. After Akhanda 2’s postponement, rumours began spreading that Raja Saab may also not release during Sankranthi. Responding to this, Vishwa Prasad once again clarified on social media.
He said that they have already cleared all the investments raised for the film and that the interest amounts would also be paid very soon. Producer Vishwa Prasad clarified that there is no chance of Raja Saab being postponed as the rumours suggest. He said it is unfortunate that films ready for release are getting postponed just hours before their scheduled release. Such actions must be strongly condemned. These delays affect exhibitors, distributors, producers, technicians, and many others, he said. He expressed that it is very important to create legal guidelines to ensure that third parties do not cause obstacles to the release of films at the last minute. He wished success to all the films releasing in December, as well as the Sankranthi releases — including Raja Saab, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, Anaganaga Oka Raju, Bharta Mahashayulaku Vignapti, Naari Naari Naduma Murari, and others.
