There was a belief among audiences that a Nani film came with a minimum guarantee. Over the past few years, he has moved away from his natural style and attempted to build a mass image with films such as Dasara and Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. Both films received good results at the box office. Since The Paradise is being made in the combination of Nani and director Srikanth Odela, who directed Dasara, expectations for the film have increased significantly. Adding to this, the songs “Aaya Share” and “Esha Nagula” released from the film created a buzz, resulting in good bookings for both premiere shows and regular shows. Through the teaser and promotions, the film’s team revealed that the story revolves around the struggle of a community called the Savaris to gain recognition. A few months ago, Ram Charan’s Peddhi was about the struggle of a village to gain recognition. The Paradise, meanwhile, is about the struggle of a community that fights because hardworking people are not given any recognition by the government.
The families of the Doras living in the Paradise region prevent the Savaris from receiving even basic facilities such as education and healthcare. Mohan Babu appears as Shikanja Malik, the head of this royal family, while Raghav Juyal plays his son. Jadal’s mother wants her son to lead the Savaris and bring recognition to the region. However, because of his opposition to his mother, the hero initially shows no interest in the matter. Later, Jadal changes his mind and takes up the responsibility. Whether Paradise finally gets recognition or not forms the story of the movie. It can be said that while attempting to create a mass image, hero Nani does not seem to have paid much attention to how the film actually progresses. From the beginning to the end, there is not even a single “wow” moment in the film. The mother-son sentiment that the film’s team repeatedly highlighted also fails to make much of an impact on the audience.
The love track between hero Nani and heroine Kayadu Lohar is also not appealing. As for the violence in the film, Nani may have set a new record in the history of Telugu cinema, considering the amount of violence. The film contains an excessive number of violent scenes. Not only does the story lack novelty, but even the narrative fails to sustain interest. With a runtime of nearly three hours, audiences are left checking the time, wondering when the movie will finally end. Towards the climax, Priyadarshi enters the film as an MLA who takes responsibility for getting recognition for the Paradise region. He impresses with mannerisms and dialogues resembling those of former Chief Minister KCR. Although Sampoornesh Babu gets considerable screen space, his Biryani character has no impact on the film. In a nutshell, The Paradise, which was released amid huge expectations, leaves the audience thoroughly disappointed.
