Actor NTR has lashed out at the disturbing acts taking place on social media. It can be said that NTR has never posted such a serious message in recent times. However, on Saturday, NTR issued a strong warning using harsh words on his X account. The reason for this was a morphed video that has been going viral in the name of the Chuttamalle song from the film Devara, featuring NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. In this video, actress Janhvi Kapoor was portrayed in an extremely vulgar and objectionable manner. This is what angered NTR. Actress Janhvi Kapoor also responded to the issue. She warned that action would be taken against those who create such fake videos. NTR recently posted about the issue on X. He warned that legal action would be taken not only against those creating such content but also against those promoting it on social media. Expressing his anger, he described the video as “disgusting, repulsive and shameful.”
“In Indian culture, where women are respected as mothers and goddesses, the slogan ‘Matru Devo Bhava’ holds great significance. In such a society, I cannot put into words how appalling it is to use AI to portray a woman in the most degrading manner. The misuse of AI to create such vile content has deeply disturbed me. I will not spare those behind this morphed video under any circumstances. Along with those who created this video, I will take all legally possible action against those promoting it on social media. I will pursue every necessary legal course in this matter. I urge everyone not to watch or share such videos and not to engage with them in any way. Even if you share or engage with such content once, it will spread further. The victim today may be someone else, but tomorrow it could be your mother, sister, wife or daughter. Therefore, I urge everyone to act responsibly.
AI technology is undoubtedly very useful. But using it to damage a person’s dignity, personal freedom or reputation cannot be accepted in any way. The need to prevent incidents of people being humiliated through deepfakes and morphed videos has now become even more urgent. I urge all state governments as well as the Government of India to take this issue seriously and work towards preventing the misuse of AI. Strict regulations should be introduced to ensure that such incidents are not repeated, and stringent action should be taken against those who violate them. This is not just a problem affecting me alone. Tomorrow, anyone could face such a situation. Protecting the dignity and personal safety of women is the responsibility of all of us,” he said. NTR is currently resting due to an injury. He will soon participate in the shooting of the film Dragon, which is being directed by Prashanth Neel.
