The film Baby, starring Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya as the lead pair, achieved good commercial success at the box office. Now, the duo has reunited for Epic First Semester, which has been produced under the banner of the popular production house Sithara Entertainments. The teaser and trailer had already given indications about the kind of content the film would offer. The production house, which recently made a family-oriented film like Vishwanath & Sons, has now come up with Epic First Semester, targeting the youth audience. Aditya Hasan, who attracted everyone's attention with the web series 90s, has directed this film. His involvement can also be considered one of the reasons for the increased expectations surrounding the movie. Although the film is officially scheduled to release on Friday, premiere shows were held on Thursday night. Coming to the story, the term "live-in" has become increasingly common these days. The trend has grown significantly not only in foreign countries but also in India.

                                 Anand Deverakonda plays a young man who, after completing his degree, does not pursue a job and instead works with the sole ambition of becoming a film director. However, his plans do not progress as expected. As part of his Plan B, and under pressure from his parents, he decides to move to London to pursue his postgraduate studies. After taking a loan to fund his education, the hero works part-time jobs in London while continuing to write stories with the dream of becoming a director. He meets Vaishnavi Chaitanya during the college admission process in London. Their acquaintance gradually develops into a relationship, and the two eventually enter into a live-in relationship. Vaishnavi, who plays the character Kadali, makes it clear that although they are living together, their relationship is limited to that phase and that once they return to India, each will lead their own life.

                                  Why does the hero's goal of becoming a director get sidelined after they enter into a live-in relationship? What twists and turns does their story take from there? That forms the core of Epic First Semester. Anand Deverakonda impresses in the role of an innocent and somewhat naive young man who has little exposure to the world. He delivers a good performance throughout the film, particularly in the scenes surrounding his college admission in London. He also performs well in the emotional sequences. Vaishnavi Chaitanya does full justice to her role as a modern-day young woman, sporting a stylish look. However, the adult content in the film may make it uncomfortable for family audiences. Through this film, director Aditya Hasan primarily focuses on the challenges faced by middle-class families, as well as the difficulties that people in live-in relationships may encounter later in life. However, the film appears to end abruptly, seemingly setting the stage for a second part. Shivaji, Vasuki, Kalyan Shankar, Srinivas Gavireddy and others play key supporting roles in the film. Epic First Semester is a film that is likely to connect mainly with the youth.
