It is going to be a festival of films for Chiranjeevi’s fans. In the first four months of next year alone, two films starring him will be released for the audience. One of them is arriving during Sankranti, the biggest festival for films, while the second will come out in the summer. On the occasion of Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s birthday, the respective film units shared updates regarding these movies. This year’s Sankranti saw the super hit Sankranthiki Vosthunnaamu starring Venkatesh, directed by Anil Ravipudi. Now, the same director Anil Ravipudi’s film with Chiranjeevi is set to release for the upcoming Sankranti. On Friday, along with the movie title, the release plans were officially revealed. While Chiranjeevi’s real name is Shiva Shankara Vara Prasad, this film has been titled Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. This announcement was made through a glimpse video released on Friday. It is already known that Nayanthara is playing the female lead opposite Chiranjeevi in this film. Venkatesh will be seen in a guest role, and he has also given the voice-over for the glimpse released on Friday. Naturally, expectations rise to a whole new level when director Anil Ravipudi teams up with Chiranjeevi for a Sankranti release.
Meanwhile, the Vishwambhara movie, which started much earlier than this project, will finally be released in the summer of 2026. Chiranjeevi himself revealed this on Thursday, also giving clarity on the delay in its completion. He explained that since there is a huge amount of VFX work in the second half of the film, the team is carefully planning everything to avoid any criticism. Both the director and producers are putting in great effort in this regard. In Vishwambhara, Trisha and Ashika Ranganath are starring opposite Chiranjeevi. Bollywood heroine Mouni Roy will be seen in a special song. Director Vassishta is helming this project. With these schedules, the first half of next year—six whole months—will be dominated by Chiranjeevi’s films. The glimpse of Vishwambhara was also released on Thursday. Now the big question is: which of these two films will emerge as the bigger super hit?
