The makers of Peddi, starring Ram Charan, have finally announced a new release date. The film, which has already faced multiple delays, was earlier said to be releasing in June, but the exact date had not been revealed. Now, director Buchi Babu Sana has officially confirmed that Peddi will hit theatres worldwide on June 25. He made this announcement while speaking at an event for actor Dhanush’s film Kara. The director also revealed that an item song for Peddi is currently being shot. He mentioned that he came directly to the event from the film’s shooting location, driven by his admiration for Dhanush. When fans at the event started demanding updates about Peddi, he responded by announcing the new release date.
Initially, the film was planned for release on March 26. Later, the makers fixed April 30 as the release date, but that too did not materialize. Now, June 25 has been finalized as the official release date. The film stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead opposite Ram Charan. It also features prominent actors like Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma, and Boman Irani in key roles. Music for the film is composed by A. R. Rahman, and the songs released so far have already received a positive response from the audience.
