Among the Sankranti releases that caught everyone’s attention, Anaganaga Oka Raju, starring Naveen Polishetty in the lead role, is one of them. Well in advance, hero Naveen Polishetty raised expectations for the film with his unique style of promotions. Along with that, the songs and trailer of the movie ensured that the excitement around the film did not drop anywhere. With confidence in the story, even though there were many big films in the Sankranti race, the film unit decided to bring this movie before the audience during Sankranti itself. The film was released worldwide on January 14. Let us see whether the expectations of the film unit have come true or not.

The story of the film is that the hero Naveen Polishetty is born into a zamindar family. However, by that time, his grandfather completely empties all the properties they owned. He creates a lot of hype in the name of being a “raju,” but he does not have a single penny in hand. Somehow, he plans to marry a girl with good wealth and live life like a king. For this reason, along with his friends, he starts an operation to make Meenakshi Chaudhary, the daughter of another zamindar from a neighboring village, fall in love with him. This becomes successful and the two get married. What is the real truth that Raju comes to know after marriage, and what the hero does to fulfill his desire to live like a king, is what this movie is all about.

In a single word, the entire burden of this film is carried by hero Naveen Polishetty alone. Heroine Meenakshi Chaudhary also impresses with her performance. She does justice to her role. It is well known that Naveen Polishetty has connected closely with the audience through his comedy timing. With this film, Naveen Polishetty once again makes the audience laugh a lot with his comedy. The Naveen Polishetty–Bulli Raju combination also delivers plenty of laughs. Especially, the way he sets up a Goa branch in the very place he is staying to fulfill his lover’s wish to go to Goa stands out as a highlight in the film. In another key role in this film, Rao Ramesh impresses. In other important roles, Chammak Chandra, Ananth, and Mahesh have acted. Even though this is director Mari’s first film, the way he handled comedy is good. Although comedy drives the entire first half and most of the second half of the film, some emotions are added to the story in the climax. These emotional scenes also work out well. In a single word, this stands as an unexpected twist in the film. Overall, with Anaganaga Oka Raju, which released for Sankranti, it can be considered that Naveen Polishetty has added another hit to his account.
