Allu Arjun, NTR and Politics: Why the Buzz Refuses to Die!
Whenever a particular formula proves successful in the film industry, directors, producers, and even actors often follow the same template for several years. While some of those films go on to become hits, many others fail at the box office. Rather than experimenting with new stories or fresh approaches, many prefer to replicate a model that has already proven successful. If that is the trend in the film industry, are actors planning to enter politics also looking to follow a similar model? Discussions appear to be moving in that direction. Over the past few days, media reports have suggested that several successful film stars are preparing to enter politics. According to these reports, they are interested in following the model of TVK chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, who registered a sensational victory in the recent Tamil Nadu elections, and are taking steps in that direction. Recently, reports claimed that Tollywood stars NTR and Allu Arjun are preparing the groundwork for their political entry. Although neither NTR nor Allu Arjun has officially responded to these reports, their respective teams have dismissed the speculation.
Reports had also claimed that Allu Arjun met renowned election strategist Prashant Kishor to discuss the launch of a new political party. However, his team denied the reports, stating that there is no truth to the speculation and that Allu Arjun is completely focused on his film career. The spotlight then shifted to NTR. The NTR Fans Association issued a statement saying there is no truth to the ongoing speculation about NTR entering politics. It clarified that the "Ooru... Vaada" programme scheduled to be held in Tirupati on July 18 has no connection whatsoever with politics. The association said the event had been planned long ago and appealed to people not to believe false campaigns being circulated on social media or create unnecessary confusion. However, senior leaders of the Telugu Desam Party revealed an interesting point. According to them, as long as TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu remains active in politics, NTR is unlikely to make any political move. They believe he may take a decision on his political future only after that. Some ministers are also said to share the same opinion.
A senior minister reportedly said that even if NTR is interested in politics, he is likely to wait for the right opportunity before taking any step. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun's response after the Telangana government registered a case in connection with the Sandhya Theatre incident became a major talking point not only in Tollywood but also in government circles. There is a strong belief within the Telugu film industry that Allu Arjun is also interested in politics. However, it is believed that he too is waiting for the right time and is unlikely to make any immediate political move. Those familiar with the developments say that, for now, both actors may continue preparing the ground in their own ways.
