Leaders of the ruling Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh are unable to get their own work—or even the work of party sympathizers—done through the IAS officer in the CMO. But when it comes to the work of those belonging to the YSRCP, it is getting done very quickly and easily once it is conveyed to that IAS officer. This development is now creating a stir among ruling TDP leaders. Highly reliable sources within the TDP have revealed that, apart from bill payments, the IAS officer has been carrying out other tasks for YSRCP leaders very smoothly. It is said that this matter has now reached an important leader in the form of a report, and another IAS officer revealed that he too has inquired into it. The IAS officer who is carrying out major tasks for YSRCP leaders is known to be a very good artist. The strange part here is that none of the YSRCP leaders whose work is being done are directly in touch with him. But how are their tasks getting done, you may wonder? That is where the real story lies.
It has been found that three women who are very close to that IAS officer have been running this entire operation, leaving TDP leaders shocked. They say that such incidents have never occurred in the past. In fact, during the transfers that took place a few months ago, this IAS officer working in the CMO was also supposed to be removed. But as part of a settlement that happened behind the scenes, he was spared. There is now widespread talk among official circles that he may soon face a transfer. However, since the coalition government came to power, he has been in a key position, and it is said that the leadership is treading carefully, considering whether transferring him might lead to future complications.
Another important point here is that the IAS officer is reportedly trying to secure the post of Information Commission (RTI) Commissioner for his brother. Not only is he doing the tasks conveyed by the women close to him, but he is also said to be maintaining very close ties with a key minister in the government. Along with that minister and a few more officials, he is allegedly operating as part of a syndicate. It is said that they are getting various works done collectively. This IAS officer’s actions are now causing considerable unrest among TDP leaders. There is deep dissatisfaction within TDP leaders and cadre that government-related works are being done only for industrialists and contractors with YSRCP connections. Many are openly expressing these criticisms on social media. Now, with the additional revelation that an IAS officer in the CMO is also working for YSRCP members, this issue is likely to create even more uproar.
