Vijay Deverakonda Appears Before ED in Betting App Case

Several Tollywood actors are facing allegations of promoting betting apps. Among them are Vijay Deverakonda and Rana Daggubati. Actor Prakash Raj has already appeared before the ED in the same case and provided his explanation. ED officials have also issued notices to Manchu Lakshmi. On Wednesday, actor Vijay Deverakonda appeared before the ED officials in Hyderabad and stated that he had submitted his bank statements to the ED. After the ED inquiry, he spoke to the media. He said that what he promoted was a gaming app, not a betting app, and urged the media to correct this.
He explained that there are two types of apps and that gaming apps are legally permitted. He stated that the A23 gaming app he promoted is not even operational in Telangana. He added that these gaming apps have GST, taxes, permissions, and registrations. He explained that gaming apps in the country are sponsors for IPL, Kabaddi, and Volleyball. He told ED officials that he only promoted gaming apps that are legal. He also mentioned that he had submitted details of the agreement made with the gaming app company he promoted.
