Russia Furious as US Seizes Oil Tankers!

However, Russia is also not backing down even slightly and is issuing warnings to the global power, the United States. Russia has recently expressed severe anger over the US seizing a Venezuelan oil ship flying the Russian flag. It must be said that the US action has created tense conditions in the North Atlantic Ocean. Reacting to this incident, Russian government leader Alexey Zhuravlev stated that the global power is acting with excessive self-confidence, and warned that if international laws continue to be violated in this manner, the United States should be prepared to face military attacks. He strongly warned that it could come to the point of launching torpedo attacks and sinking US Coast Guard ships. The US Coast Guard took control on Wednesday of a massive Russian oil tanker named “Marinera” along with another tanker named “Sophia.”
In the North Atlantic Ocean region, US Coast Guard forces descended from helicopters and seized the “Marinera,” which was traveling between Iceland and the UK. The Sophia tanker is traveling toward Venezuela in the Caribbean region. Citing that oil is being transported from Venezuela despite sanctions on that country, and that cargo is being illegally transported for a company linked to the Hezbollah terrorist group, the United States imposed sanctions on the Russian vessel Bella-1. Meanwhile, the United States, which in the past imposed unprecedented tariffs of as much as 50 percent on India for purchasing oil from Russia, now appears to be moving toward an even more sensational decision. On the grounds that India is buying oil from Russia, Trump has given the green signal to a crucial bill that would enable the imposition of tariffs of as much as 500 percent on India. This was revealed by Republican Senator Lindsey Graham through a post on X.
He stated that several key issues were discussed during his meeting with Trump. He revealed that President Trump has given the green signal to a bill to impose sanctions on Russia, and that voting on this bill will take place as early as next week. Graham expressed anger that countries such as India, China, and Brazil are indirectly supporting Putin’s atrocities in Ukraine by purchasing oil from Russia. According to the new bill, Graham stated that the United States would have the authority to impose tariffs of 500 percent on those countries. Lindsey Graham expressed hope that if this bill is passed, other countries will reduce their purchase of oil from Russia. At present, among the countries buying oil from Russia, China ranks first and India ranks second.
