TCS Kicks Off FY25 with Strong Q1: Net Profit at ₹12,760 Crs

Indian IT giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) made a strong start in the first quarter results of the current financial year. The earnings season began on Thursday with the announcement of TCS results. For the first three months ending June of FY 2025 (April–June), the company reported a net profit of ₹12,760 crore. TCS posted better-than-expected results, surpassing market estimates. Compared to the same quarter last year, net profit grew by around 6%.
Revenue increased by 1.3% from ₹62,613 crore in the same quarter last year to ₹63,437 crore. For the first quarter, the company declared a dividend of ₹11 per share, setting July 16 as the record date. During this quarter, the company hired 5,452 new employees. With this, the total number of IT employees currently working at the company reached 6.13 lakh.
