Dubai is a paradise for the wealthy. With world-class infrastructure and a reputation as one of the safest places in the world, many rich people from across the globe have shifted to Dubai. Tax concessions available there are also a reason for this. Many people from globally renowned cities consider it a safe place and have set up permanent residences there. At the same time, they have made large investments in Dubai’s real estate sector as well as in various other fields. The rulers there have been successful in transforming Dubai into one of the world’s leading tourist destinations and a hub for investments. Not only that, Dubai International Airport has also become one of the most important hubs for international travelers in the world. Dubai International Airport serves as a connecting hub to America as well as Europe and Africa. Last year alone, more than 90 million passengers traveled through this airport, and estimates suggest that the number may reach 100 million this year.

However, due to the war that the United States and Israel have been jointly waging against Iran for the past 17 days, Dubai and several Gulf countries are suffering heavy losses even though they have no direct connection to the war. Since the war began on February 28, regular scheduled flight services from Dubai International Airport have come to a halt. Although some services were operated in between, they remained only nominal. Iran has been targeting not only Dubai but also other Gulf countries with attacks because they have allowed American bases and maintain close relations with the United States. In particular, it is targeting American bases as well as companies belonging to that country.

Iran says that if the war continues in this manner, it will carry out more attacks on those who are cooperating with the United States. This has now raised concerns about whether Dubai may lose the safe tag it once had. Many people say that Dubai’s image has indeed been damaged in an unprecedented way due to this war, but they also believe that this is only temporary. Once the war comes to an end, Dubai has the capability to quickly restore its image. Even though Dubai and other Gulf countries are effectively intercepting Iran’s attacks, some damage is still occurring. There have been many occasions when people from the Telugu states have traveled to Dubai for birthday celebrations and shopping. However, most of them are film celebrities, political leaders, and contractors, while the rest mostly travel to Dubai for tourism.

On Monday, Iran once again carried out drone attacks near Dubai Airport. In these attacks, a fuel tank caught fire, leading to massive flames. As a result, Dubai Airport authorities temporarily suspended flight services. Videos related to the incident have gone viral on social media. The Dubai Media Office confirmed that the attack occurred near Dubai Airport. It is being said that normal conditions in Dubai are unlikely to return until the war being jointly waged by the United States and Israel against Iran comes to a halt. The longer this continues, the greater the losses not only for Dubai but also for several other cities in the Gulf.
