Trump Confirms US Air Strikes on Venezuela

US President Donald Trump often says that he constantly seeks world peace. After assuming office as President of the United States, he has repeatedly claimed that he has already stopped several wars. Last year, he was deeply disappointed after hoping for the Nobel Peace Prize. There is no count of how many times he has said that the India–Pakistan war stopped solely because of his intervention. Even though India has repeatedly denied this, Donald Trump continues to harp on the same tune. While claiming that the United States alone is striving for world peace, America on Saturday launched fierce attacks on Venezuela. This was revealed personally by President Donald Trump. On Saturday, massive explosions occurred at nearly seven locations in and around Venezuela’s capital Caracas, as well as in the nearby states of Miranda, Aragua, and La Guaira.

As US fighter jets flew at very low altitudes and carried out the attacks, people ran onto the streets in fear. A few days ago, Donald Trump had strongly warned that the United States would carry out attacks on Venezuelan territory to curb illegal drug trafficking operating from the country. For some time now, severe tensions have been continuing between the United States and Venezuela. Experts say this is the first direct attack carried out by the United States on Venezuelan soil. Reports suggest that these attacks targeted illegal trafficking bases. Regarding illegal drug trafficking, Donald Trump has been increasing pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro for some time. Military forces have been deployed in the Caribbean Sea region. Trump warned that drug trafficking would be curbed at any cost. The United States is already carrying out attacks on boats and oil tankers illegally transporting drugs in the Pacific and Caribbean seas. Frightened by the intensity of the explosions, people are evacuating their homes and moving to safer areas. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump stated that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife are in their custody. At the same time, he also confirmed the attacks carried out by the US military.
