FASTag Pass is coming. The central government is introducing a pass that will be valid for one year. Until now, vehicle owners have been paying toll charges at toll gates trip by trip. Now, with an annual pass, one can cruise on national highways for a whole year. This will be available to vehicle owners starting this August 15, as revealed by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari. By paying ₹3,000 and obtaining the annual pass, it will be valid either for one year or until 200 trips are completed—whichever comes first. This will be applicable on any national highway across the country.

The minister revealed on platform X that this opportunity is being made available for non-commercial, personal vehicles such as cars, jeeps, and vans. He stated that this will be highly useful for those who travel frequently, and at the same time, it will eliminate the need to spend much time at toll gates. He further stated that special arrangements will be made for this through the Rajmarg Yatra app, as well as the NHAI and Road Transport Ministry websites. This annual FASTag pass is being introduced to ensure that lakhs of private vehicle users experience a faster, smoother, and better travel experience.
