Star Health settles ₹1,254 crore covering 1.8 lakh claims

Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited (NSE: STARHEALTH; BSE: 543412), one of India’s leading standalone health insurance companies, today reinforced its commitment to faster, transparent and customer-first claims support in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In FY26, the company settled claims worth ₹1,254 crore covering 1.8 lakh claims in the region, compared with ₹1,014 crore in FY25, reflecting a 24% year-on-year increase. Since inception, Star Health has settled claims worth ₹6,064 crore+ covering 9.6 lakh+ claims in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, supporting healthcare access for families across both states. The company has also strengthened its presence in the region, with regional GWP growing from ₹1,928 crore in FY25 to ₹2,268 crore in FY26, while the number of policies increased from 8.8 lakh to 9.4 lakh.Star Health has built a strong service and distribution network in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with 1,800+ network hospitals, 75+ branches, 89,000+ advisors, 1,800+ employees and 230+ Star Gramin Bima Kendras.

At a national level, Star Health settled claims worth ₹11,903 crore covering 30.6 lakh claims in FY26. Since inception, the company has settled claims worth ₹67,800 crore+ covering more than 1.5 crore claims, supported by a 92% retail claims settlement ratio, 84% cashless claims settlement and 92% cashless claims processed within three hours. Beyond claims, Star Health is also strengthening its role as a broader health partner. In FY26, preventive health check-ups rose 42% to 5.48 lakh, telemedicine consultations increased to 1.17 lakh, and home healthcare services grew 5 times to 92,000 across 300+ cities. Through Arogya Seva Kendra, Star Health’s CSR-led primary healthcare initiative, the company is strengthening preventive care and early diagnosis in underserved districts. The programme is operational across 32 clinics in 9 states, targeting outreach to over 1 million lives. As of March 2026, it has recorded 48,567 visits, conducted 45,017 medical tests and delivered 5,725 health education sessions. Since inception the company has settled ₹6,064 crore+ covering 9.6 lakh+ claims in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and ₹67,800 crore+ covering more than 1.5 crore claims nationally.
