United States Announces $10 Million Bounty on Mojtaba Khamenei

In a move no one expected, the United States, which killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in the attacks carried out on February 28, has now come up with another plan. It appears that the U.S. has also targeted Mojtaba Khamenei, who was elected as Iran’s new Supreme Leader. While carrying out intense attacks on one side, it has also announced a huge offer related to this. The United States has declared that it will give a reward of ten million dollars to anyone who provides information about the whereabouts of Mojtaba Khamenei. In Indian currency, this amount is close to ₹93 crore. At the same time, the U.S. has officially stated that it will also provide rehabilitation to those who give this information. It said the bounty will be given under the Reward for Justice programme. The Reward for Justice programme is an important counter-terrorism initiative run by the United States Department of State.
Under this programme, rewards of millions of dollars are given to people who provide information about international criminals and networks and help in capturing them. The RFJ programme works with the objective of protecting Americans and strengthening national security. The list of individuals announced by the U.S. State Department includes, along with Mojtaba, his office’s Deputy Chief of Staff Ali Asghar Hejazi, Security Council chief Ali Larijani, and several other senior officials. Since the war began, Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared in public anywhere so far. There is no clarity about where he is currently located. However, it may be recalled that the United States recently announced that Mojtaba Khamenei was seriously injured in its attacks.
