IAS Officer’s Five-Crore Bribe Controversy?!

The corruption history of that IAS officer is well known not only to fellow officers but also to political leaders. Even in the united state, that IAS officer took several decisions which shocked chief ministers and finance ministers. In Nellore, a company was sanctioned nearly ten crore rupees by the then government under various incentives. At that time, due to severe shortage of funds, the chief minister, after consulting with the finance minister, made arrangements to allocate funds to this company—because that organization was then providing large-scale employment opportunities. But the IAS officer, on the grounds that the company receiving the incentives did not pay him bribes, refused to release the budget. Later, when the matter reached the chief minister, the subject was taken away from that IAS officer. There were many such incidents. Wherever that IAS officer was, in whichever post, corruption was always a common point.
During the YSRCP regime, it is known that this IAS officer exercised dominance in a key department. The strange thing here is that the IAS officer took five crore rupees from a YSRCP leader from Visakhapatnam, promising to get some work done through a section that came under his key department. The leader thought that even if he lost five crores, it was fine as long as the work was done. But the work did not happen, and the IAS officer did not return the five crore rupees he had taken. Even though the matter eventually reached then-chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, he too could not ensure that the IAS officer returned the five crores to his own party leader, according to YSRCP leaders. This issue has now become a hot topic among the party leaders. At a time when the affairs of that IAS officer have already become a matter of intense discussion, this matter has now come to light.
