“Family-Pack Minister? Corruption Buzz Rocks Telangana Congress”!

This has now become a hot topic within Telangana Congress circles. There is an ongoing discussion that even though serious corruption allegations are surfacing against some ministers in Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s cabinet, the matter involving one key minister is said to be far more alarming. The reason is that some ministers themselves are directly managing all the behind-the-scenes dealings. There is also widespread publicity regarding these issues. However, discussions are going on even within Congress leaders that the entire family of one key minister in the Telangana cabinet is fully engaged in the same activities. While the minister, who is handling key departments, oversees everything from the top, there is large-scale talk that all the collections are being handled by his wife.
From postings to promotions in the key departments under that minister, everything is said to be happening only under her supervision, according to official sources. A senior IAS officer revealed that unless a green signal comes from her, no file moves forward. Another disturbing aspect, according to officials, is that no matter how important a post is in those departments, appointments are being deliberately delayed for as long as needed unless the demanded amount is received. He stated that this has happened in the case of several key posts.
While such is the way the minister’s wife is operating under his supervision, it is now being said that their son has also entered the scene. It is being alleged that, by using power as a shield, they are working to secure key projects, setting everything in place for the family as well as for his own future. However, there is also talk within government circles that one such episode recently backfired badly. With the entire family now involved in these activities, discussions are going on among Congress leaders that he has earned the tag of a “family-pack minister.” It remains to be seen what kind of model he will choose in the coming days to achieve what he wants. Meanwhile, some ministers are facing criticism that, thinking power has come after ten years, they are behaving recklessly.
