Pawan Kalyan’s Secret Singapore Trip Sparks Political Storm in AP!

Pawan Kalyan, the chief of the Jana Sena Party and Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has often spoken about transparency in public life. However, since assuming office, allegations are being raised that his actions are contrary to those claims. His recent secret visit to Singapore has now become a hot topic in Andhra Pradesh political circles. The fact that he did not disclose this foreign tour in advance has sparked widespread debate. Questions are being raised about why the Deputy CM chose to keep his Singapore trip confidential. According to a BJP Member of Parliament, Pawan Kalyan left for Singapore soon after participating in discussions in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly last month regarding the resolution to grant legal status to Amaravati as the state capital. It is also being said that he remained in Singapore even when the bill was passed in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha.

This is cited as the reason why he did not attend the related celebrations in Amaravati alongside Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and other leaders. Instead, another Jana Sena minister, Nadendla Manohar, represented the party at the event. What is drawing even more attention is that Pawan Kalyan reportedly stayed in Singapore for four to five days without any public disclosure of his trip. Adding to the controversy, it is being widely reported that controversial industrialist Lingamaneni Ramesh accompanied him on this visit. While Lingamaneni Ramesh, as a private individual, is free to travel anywhere, questions are being raised about why a Deputy Chief Minister would keep such a foreign trip under wraps. Typically, ministers must obtain political clearance from the central government before undertaking personal or family trips abroad. Following that, an official Government Order (GO) is issued clarifying whether the visit is official or private.

However, in this case, no such GO related to Pawan Kalyan’s Singapore visit appears to have been issued or made available on the government website. Officials suggest that even this document may have been kept confidential. At a time when there is ongoing speculation that Lingamaneni Ramesh might be nominated to the Rajya Sabha from the Jana Sena Party, the timing of this secret tour has raised further suspicions. A BJP MP has even remarked that the nature of dealings and possible agreements behind this visit needs to come to light. There have long been rumors in political circles about significant dealings between the two. Observers believe that more details related to this episode could emerge in the coming days.
