It is known that the Andhra Pradesh government recently appointed new chairpersons to several corporations. Among these, one particular position has drawn everyone’s attention—the post of Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Official Language Commission. In the previous YSRCP government, this position was held by P. Vijayababu. He became the center of several controversies. For the first time ever, he introduced a new practice by printing a photo of the then Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on the Official Language Commission’s letterhead. Now, among the newly appointed posts by the Andhra Pradesh government, the position of Chairman of the Official Language Commission has also been included. The TDP-led coalition government has allotted this post to Vikram Poola.

Vikram is none other than the brother of the former chairman, Vijayababu. However, Vikram has been associated with the TDP for several decades. For a brief period, he shifted to the Praja Rajyam Party formed by Chiranjeevi and even worked with Chiranjeevi when he served as a Union Minister. Later, he returned to participating in TDP programs. During that period, he played a key role in activities such as publishing books related to TDP founder Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, as well as in other party-related matters. Now, with the government appointing him as the Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Official Language Commission, discussions have surfaced in Andhra Pradesh about whether this particular post always goes to the same family, regardless of which party is in power.
