X

A tweet posted on Sunday by former YSRCP MP Y. Vijay Sai Reddy, who had been silent for a long time, is now creating turmoil within the YSRCP. What lies behind this has now become an unanswered question for the party leaders. After media reports stated that the Enforcement Directorate had issued notices in connection with the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam probe, Vijay Sai Reddy posting this tweet has gained significant importance. That too, by linking it to an issue that has no direct connection with national politics, the tweet made by Vijay Sai Reddy is said to have triggered tremors within the YSRCP. There is discussion among party leaders that Vijay Sai Reddy has hinted at future developments through this tweet. There is also talk that he has given some kind of signal to Jagan through his tweet.

The tweet posted by former MP Vijay Sai Reddy on Sunday reads as follows: “Public leaders who are ‘hostages’ among ‘sold-out coteries’, think about it. At least now, realize what is going to happen to you here in the future! After being elected in Venezuela with massive popular support, despite having the Army, Navy, Air Force, intelligence chiefs, so many people around him, missiles, fighter jets, and a huge military, how was the United States able to lift that country’s president and his wife from the presidential palace without any resistance? What is the reason? ‘All of them were sold out, that’s why!’” There is discussion among YSRCP leaders that Vijay Sai Reddy has sent some kind of signal to party leaders through this tweet.

On the other hand, the aggressive approach being shown by the ED in the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam has also become a hot topic. It is known that after first issuing notices to Vijay Sai Reddy, the ED later issued notices to YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy as well. Party leaders are also expressing doubts over whether Vijay Sai Reddy posted this tweet keeping all these developments in mind. Since resigning from the YSRCP, he has mostly been close to NDA leaders, and a senior leader opined that he may have received some crucial information regarding this scam. Moreover, as Vijay Sai Reddy is thoroughly aware of all the details related to the liquor scam that took place during Jagan’s tenure, there is discussion among YSRCP leaders that he has made this move from a deeper perspective.
