Komatireddy Warns: No Apology, No Pawan Films in TG!

For Jana Sena chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, the only pending film is Ustaad Bhagat Singh. The film unit has already announced that promotions for this movie will also begin this month. Accordingly, director Harish Shankar has even released a video. So far, there was no controversy. But on Tuesday, Telangana R&B and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy made a key statement. He said that unless Pawan Kalyan apologises, his movies will not be allowed to run in Telangana. As the Cinematography Minister, he made this statement very officially. Regarding the increase in movie ticket prices and special shows… the government has already gone back on the words spoken in the Assembly. And it remains to be seen to what extent the promises spoken in front of the media mics will actually be implemented. However, whether Pawan Kalyan will apologise for his recent comments as demanded by Komatireddy Venkata Reddy along with other ministers and Telangana leaders… that will be known only after a few days.
It is known that Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan recently made inappropriate remarks saying that Telangana people’s evil eye caused the coconut trees in Konaseema to dry up. Without any context at all… even the leaders of his own party are unable to understand why Pawan Kalyan made such comments. Political circles are discussing that apart from the frustration of not being seen anywhere in the Andhra Pradesh government—where all the limelight is only around Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, his son and another minister Nara Lokesh—there seems to be no other reason behind this. AP leaders are also discussing that Pawan Kalyan’s comments on Telangana people at this point have absolutely no meaning, and politically too, there is no tense situation right now.
So why he made these remarks remains an unanswered question. There is also criticism that Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy responded to this issue only after three days of Pawan Kalyan’s inappropriate remarks. Initially, BRS leader and former minister Jagadish Reddy reacted and condemned Pawan Kalyan’s comments. Later, Congress MLAs and ministers started attacking Pawan Kalyan one after another. Now, as the ruling party leaders in Telangana are demanding, will Pawan Kalyan apologise? If not, will the upcoming release of Ustaad Bhagat Singh face troubles? That remains to be seen. It is also known that earlier the Telangana government had given permission for the hike in ticket prices for Hari Hara Veera Mallu and OG as well.
