Elon Musk vs Trump: New Rift Erupts Over ‘Big Beautiful Bill’

Tensions Rise Again Between U.S. President Donald Trump and World's Richest Man Elon Musk. Indications suggest that the rift between U.S. President Donald Trump and the world’s number one billionaire, Elon Musk, may once again take a serious turn. The primary reason for this is Trump’s newly introduced “Big Beautiful Bill”. He is rapidly moving forward to get it approved. The bill has already been passed in the Senate. This has now become the source of Elon Musk’s anger. It’s well known that not long ago, differences between the two had reached a peak. Though things appeared to have settled down in the meantime, Musk has now launched a scathing attack on the Trump administration through a series of tweets. He lashed out, saying, “What was promised before the election and what is being done now are entirely different.” On the very next day after the bill's approval, Musk made sensational comments saying, “I will start a new political party.”
A few days ago, Musk conducted a poll on his social media platform X, asking whether America needs a new political party. The poll received overwhelming support in favor of the idea. The Big Beautiful Bill is at the heart of the growing rift between Donald Trump and Elon Musk. Musk has expressed concern that the bill will push the United States further into a debt trap. He claims it will also result in cuts to social welfare programs. He criticized members of Congress, saying that although they promised to reduce government spending, they are now acting contrary to that promise. He pointed out that this bill will raise the debt ceiling by a staggering five trillion dollars. Hence, he argued that there is a need for a political party that truly cares about the people. He made a sensational remark that “those who voted in favor of this bill will soon hang their heads in shame.”
The bill allocates a massive $350 billion for border and national security. It includes $46 billion for expanding the U.S.-Mexico border wall, $45 billion for immigrant detention beds, and a large fund for hiring 10,000 personnel in the immigration department. In short, Elon Musk’s comments are being seen as a strong warning to the senators who supported this bill. Speculation is now rife that if Elon Musk follows through on his statements and launches a new political party opposing Donald Trump, the political scenario could become even more intriguing.
