Trump’s Tough Talk Fails Before Putin in Alaska Meet
X

The U.S. President Donald Trump has been acting as if whoever it may be in the world, they must listen to him. For the past some time, his behavior has been like this — a fact known to everyone. Saying that India was not listening to him and not agreeing to what he said, Donald Trump first imposed 25% tariffs on India. Later, citing that India was purchasing oil from Russia, he imposed another 25% tariffs. With this, the tariffs imposed by America on India reached a total of 50%. A few days ago, even Ukrainian President Zelensky, who went to the White House, was sent away insultingly. However, during the verbal argument between the two, Zelensky too did not back down and gave a strong counter to U.S. President Donald Trump. At that time, the video went viral on social media. But looking at the developments that took place recently after the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Putin in Alaska, it is clearly visible that Trump’s games did not work much in front of Putin.

Just a few days ago, Trump had warned that if Russia did not stop the war on Ukraine, listening to his words, there would be severe consequences and that more sanctions would be imposed on Russia. But now, he is responding quite differently. While saying that they could not reach an agreement during their meeting, he is also claiming that the talks went very well. If that is the truth, the question of why they could not make an agreement cannot be avoided. On the other hand, Trump, who just days ago mocked saying that India and Russia have dead economies, is now suddenly saying that Russia is a strong nation, standing second in the world. This itself clearly shows that Trump’s pressures did not work at all in front of Putin — a discussion that is going on now.

On the other side, Trump, who always had the approach that if he says something, any country should immediately declare a ceasefire, is now saying that instead of just a ceasefire, a full-fledged peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine would be better. This has now gained significance. At the same time, Trump has also given clear signals that there will be no more additional tariffs on India. However, whether he will withdraw the 25% tariffs imposed citing Russia’s name or not will be known in a few days. There is also a discussion going on that while Trump, when it came to China, acted in a “tit-for-tat” manner, in the case of Russia he seems to have stepped back. But India is following a different approach in this regard. On the other hand, many are saying that the Alaska meeting itself is an example that Donald Trump has reduced his aggression and is changing. Let’s see what other strange statements Donald Trump will make in the coming days.
