Gunfire at Trump Dinner! Panic Inside Ballroom, Secret Service in Action

At this sensitive time, a shooting incident near a dinner event attended by US President Donald Trump created panic and shock. Although a ceasefire is currently in place, tensions between the United States and Iran have not eased in any way. Both sides continue to issue warnings to each other, and there has been no meaningful progress in the second round of negotiations so far. A dinner was organized for White House correspondents at the Hilton Hotel in Washington. The event was attended by President Donald Trump, his wife Melania Trump, US Vice President JD Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and several other senior officials.

Shortly after the dinner began, an unexpected incident occurred. Gunshots were heard from outside the ballroom, triggering immediate panic among those present. Secret Service agents reacted swiftly. As soon as the sounds were heard, they rushed onto the stage and escorted the leaders away. President Trump and his wife, along with Vice President JD Vance and other key figures, were moved to a secure location. Inside the ballroom, terrified media personnel and guests hid under tables in fear. Fortunately, no one attending the dinner was injured in the incident. Security forces and police quickly apprehended the gunman and are currently interrogating him. Reports suggest that he fired between five to nine rounds. Authorities revealed that the attacker had arrived with multiple types of weapons. Notably, he had checked into the Hilton Hotel as a guest before carrying out the shooting.

Later, speaking to the media, Donald Trump said that the US Secret Service and other officials responded promptly and with presence of mind. He remarked that he is aware his presidency comes with risks, but added that he is not someone who lives in fear. Trump also stated that the attacker used a powerful firearm. The accused has been identified as 31-year-old Thomas Allen Colo (name as reported), who works as a teacher and resides in California. Officials have also seized his apartment as part of the investigation.
