Trump Warns Russia of Heavy Sanctions and Tariffs if War Persists
X

U.S. President Donald Trump is unable to figure out how to move forward in bringing an end to the Russia-Ukraine war. A few days ago, Trump met Putin in Alaska. Although they could not reach an agreement, Trump said that their meeting went well. After that, he also met Ukrainian President Zelensky at the White House. Even then, there are no signs that his efforts to arrange a face-to-face meeting between Russian President Putin and Ukrainian President Zelensky are yielding results. Even after meeting Donald Trump, Russia has continued to carry out large-scale attacks on Ukraine. With this, Donald Trump has recently expressed anger over Russia’s actions. He declared that within two weeks, he would take a key decision regarding the end of this war. If Russia does not come to terms by then, he announced that along with heavy sanctions, tariffs would also be imposed. At this time, he made key comments about Putin and Zelensky. He said Putin and Zelensky are like oil and vinegar — just as it is difficult to mix them, it is equally difficult to bring these two together.

He further said that there is still no clarity on whether the two will work together towards ending the war. He stated that Russia’s attack on an American factory in Ukraine amounts to engaging in provocative actions. Although numerous efforts are being made to end the long-drawn war, they are not cooperating in the least. Donald Trump also said in a recent interview that if he could stop the Russia-Ukraine war, he would go to heaven. It is well known that while addressing a meeting before the U.S. elections, there was a shooting incident targeting him. He narrowly escaped it with satisfaction. At that time too, he said that only God had protected him so that he could once again raise America to greater heights.
