Pawan Kalyan’s Advice to Chandrababu Sparks Buzz in AP Politics!

Not just for these five years — Chandrababu Naidu should continue as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for another ten years as well. Jana Sena chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has repeatedly said, both inside and outside the Assembly, that they will all continue to work in line with Chandrababu’s vision. He has also stated that their support for Chandrababu is because of his vast experience and visionary outlook. Cut to the present — the same Chandrababu Naidu, who once praised Pawan Kalyan as a visionary leader, reportedly received advice and suggestions from Pawan himself during a cabinet meeting, as widely reported by the media on Tuesday. A few days ago, reports emerged that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had advised Pawan Kalyan to hold a meeting with Jana Sena MLAs. Now, there is discussion among TDP leaders over whether Pawan’s latest suggestions to Chandrababu are a counter to that move.
The most significant point here is that both Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan are said to have officially admitted that the performance of some MLAs from coalition parties has been unsatisfactory. Political circles are abuzz with talk that several MLAs belonging to the main coalition partners — TDP and Jana Sena — are facing serious allegations of land grabbing and settlements. Reports also claim that Pawan Kalyan expressed concern that some MLAs were interfering even in disputes involving public properties. While Pawan is said to have raised this issue very seriously, Chandrababu Naidu’s response appeared rather casual, observers noted. Chandrababu reportedly said that it is the responsibility of in-charge ministers to correct the mistakes of MLAs and that, if the MLAs don’t listen, the matter should then be brought to his attention.
However, the irony, according to some, is that when MLAs have ignored even the Chief Minister’s repeated public warnings in the past, it is doubtful whether they would listen to the in-charge ministers now. Another key issue being pointed out is that while there are allegations and criticism about large-scale irregularities and corruption in higher levels of the government — particularly in departments like Municipal Administration, Power, Health, and Industrial Land Allotments — both Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan seem to be repeatedly targeting only the MLAs. A minister reportedly questioned why the MLAs alone should remain silent when the top leadership itself is being accused of wrongdoing. Many believe that this situation could soon lead to a major political storm.
Despite widespread allegations of corruption and irregularities in the government’s top departments, Pawan Kalyan has not spoken a single word about them, yet his recent focus on controlling the behavior of MLAs has become a topic of hot debate. No one denies that MLAs should be corrected for their mistakes, but the narrative being pushed — that the government is running with perfect transparency and without any flaws — is being widely questioned. Serious corruption allegations are surfacing even against some ministers, but the government remains silent. Meanwhile, both Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan seem to be targeting only the MLAs. Many are now asking: if the top leadership itself is not setting an example of integrity and honesty, will the lower-level MLAs really listen to their warnings?
