Red-Light Vehicle, Special Flights Linked to Liquor Scam Accused

How many more dens will be exposed in the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam? This is now the hottest topic in Andhra Pradesh's political and administrative circles. Recently, SIT officials seized boxes containing ₹11 crore in cash from a farmhouse near Hyderabad. Now, a video of CH Venkatesh Naidu—listed as A-34 in this scam—has surfaced. As SIT officials extracted old data from the accused's phones, various details have come to light. A new video shows CH Venkatesh Naidu counting bundles of ₹500 notes in large quantities. From the visuals, it is evident that the cash amounts to several crores of rupees. Venkatesh Naidu is known to be very close to YSRCP leader and former MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy. Although Bhaskar Reddy claims he has nothing to do with this case, SIT officials allege that he played a key role in the money transfer operations related to the liquor scam. In addition to this, videos have surfaced showing Venkatesh Naidu traveling in special flights and then stepping out and getting into a red-light vehicle—cars meant only for high-ranking government officials. Furthermore, photos of him getting off the special flight alongside some heroines have also gone viral.
Adding to the intrigue, it has come to light that on BRS Working President and former Minister KTR’s birthday, Venkatesh Naidu had previously given full-page ads in The Hindu newspaper. Another key point to mention here: companies linked to Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy had also issued similar full-page ads in Telangana editions during the birthdays of KCR and KTR when BRS was in power. This was particularly noticeable when Jagan was in power in Andhra Pradesh and BRS in Telangana. It remains to be seen how many more sensational revelations will come out by the time SIT files the final charge sheet in the AP liquor scam. However, YSRCP leaders are dismissing the ₹11 crore seized at the farmhouse and the newly surfaced video as part of a conspiracy by the coalition government. Now, the focus shifts to how strongly SIT can prove this case with concrete evidence.
