US–Iran Tensions Escalate as War of Words Intensifies!

The war of words between the United States and Iran is intensifying. Iran’s armed forces spokesperson, General Abolfazl Shekarchi, warned that if anyone dares to touch their leader, they would “set fire to their entire world.” It is well known that over the past few days, US President Donald Trump has been repeatedly stating that there is a need for a leadership change in Iran. In fact, reports said that a few days ago, the United States was prepared to launch an attack on Iran for ignoring its warnings, but backed off at the last minute due to pressure from several countries. Recently, US President Donald Trump made sharp remarks during an interview with a media organization. He warned Tehran that if unrest continues in Iran in the same manner, “the entire country will be blown up.” Responding to Iran’s “all-out war” warning, Trump made severe comments, stating that if Iran comes after him, he would ensure that Iran itself would no longer exist in the world. He further said that if anything were to happen to him, they would wipe them completely off the face of the earth, and claimed that orders to this effect had already been issued.
Iran had recently issued a warning stating that there would be severe consequences if any action was taken against their Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. “Trump knows that if any hand of aggression is extended toward our leader, we will not only cut off that hand but also set fire to their world,” Iran’s armed forces spokesperson General Abolfazl Shekarchi was quoted as saying in media reports. Reports say that more than 4,500 people have lost their lives so far due to the ongoing protests in Iran. However, it can be said that there is no one to independently verify these figures. Due to rising inflation and the fall in the value of the rial over the past some time, protests began in Iran from the last week of December. While thousands of Iranians took to the streets demanding action and calling for regime change, the Iranian government is accusing the United States and Israel of instigating tensions in Tehran and fueling the protests. Not only in the case of Iran, Donald Trump has been intervening in the affairs of several countries and issuing warnings.
It has been one year since Donald Trump took charge as the President of the United States for the second time. It is well known that several decisions he took immediately after assuming office had a severe impact across the world. The first among these can be said to be trade tariffs. Due to Donald Trump’s tariff decisions, stock markets across the world collapsed. Even now, that uncertainty continues. The 50 percent tariffs imposed on India are still in place. In addition, the decision to raise the H-1B visa fee to $100,000, which has a major impact on IT companies, can be described as one of Trump’s decisions that has had the most adverse effect on Indian IT professionals. Especially with regard to students studying in the United States, Trump not only imposed several strict restrictions but also created confusion through decisions such as vetting social media accounts. However, the White House claims that Donald Trump achieved 365 successes in 365 days during his first year in office. This includes border security, reasserting America’s strength to the world, and attracting massive investments from giant companies. Donald Trump has said that inflation has reduced significantly over the past year and that people’s incomes have increased. At the same time, he lashed out at the administration of former President Joe Biden.
