Musk vs Trump: New Political War Brews in U.S.
American politics is now set to take a new turn. As the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, had previously announced, he has officially launched a new political party. He revealed the party's name as The American Party. Musk had earlier stated that if former U.S. President Donald Trump's Big Beautiful Bill was passed, he would launch a new party — and he followed through on that statement. This development indicates that the conflict between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk is likely to intensify. A few months ago, Musk conducted a poll on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the necessity of a new party in the U.S., and a massive 80% of respondents supported the idea. Recently, the controversial Big Beautiful Bill was signed into law by President Donald Trump. As promised, Elon Musk announced the launch of his party shortly afterward.
Although it’s too early to determine how much influence this party will have in the U.S., many believe that a political war between Donald Trump and Elon Musk is on the horizon. In the recent 2024 elections, it’s well known that Elon Musk not only campaigned extensively for Donald Trump but also raised substantial election funds. Later, Musk was entrusted with the leadership of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). This new bill appears to be the root cause of the fallout between Trump and Musk. At one point, Donald Trump even made a harsh remark saying he would send Elon Musk back to South Africa. Although Musk appeared to go silent for a while after that, his move to launch a new party is now being seen as a clear signal that he is ready to confront Trump directly.
During the announcement of the new party, Elon Musk made key comments, stating that there is no real democracy left in America and that he is launching this new party to restore it. Meanwhile, American citizens have also taken to the streets in large numbers to protest against Donald Trump’s policies. Some people strongly reacted to a recent comment by Trump suggesting that certain individuals, despite being American citizens, should be deported. In response, a large online petition was launched demanding that Trump’s wife, Melania Trump, and her parents also be deported from the U.S., since she was born in Yugoslavia and later settled in America.
