TDP Faces Internal Criticism Over Legislative Failures

The Legislative Affairs Minister is responsible for overseeing all legislative matters. After him, the responsibility falls on the Chief Whip. However, both of them have miserably failed, and this discussion is happening even within the TDP leadership. Despite only a very few people attending the assembly, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had to intervene in the matter. However, both the Legislative Affairs Minister and Chief Whip G.V. Anjaneyulu failed to prevent the situation from happening, they are being criticized for that. On the other hand, the recent developments in the Council are now putting the alliance government in a more difficult position. According to protocol, the Chairman of the Council comes before the Speaker of the Assembly. However, recently, the Council Chairman, Mosenuraj, was not invited to the inauguration of the new building constructed for the assembly, including the Whips and other essential needs. The opposition leader in the Council, Botsa Satyanarayana, criticized this.
Not only that, he pointed out that the Chairman's name was not even mentioned on the plaque. This is not the only issue; Botsa also pointed out that the Council Chairman was not invited to the National Women’s Empowerment Conference held in Tirupati. Botsa alleged that the Council Chairman was being humiliated because he is a Dalit, and the protocol was being disregarded due to this. This has put the TDP and the alliance government in a difficult political situation. Minister Acham Naidu, agreeing that it was a mistake to not invite the Chairman according to protocol, stated that actions would be taken after investigating where the mistake happened. In reality, all these matters should have been handled by the Legislative Affairs Minister, Payyavula Keshav. Since he failed in this matter, some ministers believe that they are now facing a difficult situation. Payyavula Keshav has been accused of acting as if he could secure his position by constantly praising Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh whenever he gets a chance.
There are also criticisms from TDP MLAs that Chief Whip G.V. Anjaneyulu has not been able to perform effectively in his responsibilities. Even though there is no opposition in the assembly, it has been repeatedly proven that there is no coordination among the coalition MLAs. The allegations that Payyavula Keshav has failed miserably in matters related to the Finance Department have also emerged. Recently, media reports indicated that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had stated that files were pending for long periods with the Finance Minister. Everyone familiar with government affairs understands why files remain pending with any minister. Moreover, there are allegations that YSRCP leaders are getting their work done faster than TDP leaders in the Finance Department. This trend continues with bill clearances and various other matters. There are accusations that private individuals have too much influence in the Finance Department and that some people are settling matters by opening offices outside, with some government officials allegedly providing their cooperation. This is reportedly circulating within IAS circles.
