Chandrababu Avoids Responsibility Amid Growing Dissatisfaction!

After the formation of the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh, discussions are ongoing among TDP leaders that the political landscape has completely changed. TDP leaders are claiming that this is an unprecedented situation in the current government. Some have even suggested that in certain aspects, the YSRCP seems to be a partner in the coalition, along with TDP, Janasena, and BJP. This is being discussed by party leaders themselves, as the companies that rose to prominence during YSRCP rule are now showing the same enthusiasm under the coalition government. The officials who played a key role during Jagan’s tenure as CM are now behaving in a way that allows them to influence the government even more than before, and this has sparked discussions among TDP leaders. Initially, the MLAs were unsure about the situation and didn’t understand what was happening. Once they realized the political dynamics, some MLAs felt that, given the severe settlements being made at higher levels, they no longer needed to just sit back and do nothing. Some MLAs, according to TDP leaders, have now stepped into the arena.
After the Cabinet meeting on Friday, comments made by Chandrababu Naidu about the MLAs and the ministers suggest his weakness, according to a senior minister. The responsibility for controlling the MLAs lies with the district in-charge ministers. If the issue is not resolved at that level, it should be escalated to him. The media widely reported that Chandrababu emphasized that district in-charge ministers should take responsibility for political coordination with MLAs and coordination between coalition parties. Recently, during the Assembly sessions, Chandrababu has mentioned that some MLAs were behaving inappropriately. This indicates that he might be distancing himself from the matter, according to some opinions.
The coalition government has the support of 164 MLAs. If Chandrababu were to take strict action against one or two MLAs who are not following the party line, it wouldn’t make much of a difference. However, TDP leaders suggest that Chandrababu is avoiding responsibility by choosing this route. Additionally, there are only a few ministers who have a good relationship with the district MLAs. Moreover, this time, Chandrababu appointed more newcomers to the ministerial positions, sidelining the seniors. In several districts, senior leaders are expressing strong dissatisfaction with both Chandrababu and Nara Lokesh. This has raised questions about whether any minister, even the seniors, can deal with these issues.
