Vijaya Dairy Row: TDP Government Faces Political Heat!

In a manner never seen before, the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh is facing large-scale allegations of corruption this time. There is even a discussion among TDP leaders themselves that rampant corruption is taking place in all the key departments. TDP chief and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu often says that his catchphrase has changed. But has he now changed to the extent of turning a blind eye to whatever is happening in his government? Or has he reached a stage where, despite knowing everything that is happening in the government, he is simply letting things go, believing that nothing can be done? Setting aside whether it was a major or minor post, a photograph of a minister obtaining a resignation letter from a person lying on a hospital bed, with no consideration for humanity in removing him from the post, has become a major topic of discussion. Despite the party's decision, if Chalasani Anjaneyulu was elected once again as the chairman of Vijaya Dairy, there were many ways to deal with the matter. Reports also emerged that he was admitted to hospital after some ministers and MLAs put intense pressure on him to resign from the post, even before a few days had passed since his fresh election as Vijaya Dairy chairman.

Even after that, without showing any hesitation, going to the hospital and obtaining his resignation letter made it evident how inhumanly the TDP government had acted. It is often said that there is no sympathy or compassion in politics. However, a discussion is now taking place even among TDP ministers and MLAs as to whether there was really a need to go to the hospital and obtain a resignation letter from a leader of their own party in such a forceful manner. One leader commented that seeing this has also raised doubts among the people as to how the TDP is different from the YSRCP. There is a discussion among party leaders that this single photograph is certain to deal a politically severe blow to the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh, particularly the TDP. There is also a discussion that it appears to have sent a message to everyone that they must do exactly as they are told, and that otherwise, the situation will be like this. TDP leaders feel that such circumstances had never existed in the party before and that new traditions are now being introduced.
