‘Kingdom’ Opens Strong with ₹39 Cr Worldwide Gross

The film Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda, grossed ₹39 crores worldwide on its first day. The production company, Sithara Entertainments, officially announced this on Friday. As is known, the movie was directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, and along with Vijay Deverakonda, actors Satyadev and Venkatesh played key roles. Kingdom generated good buzz from the beginning, which helped it get strong openings. However, the film has received mixed responses. Vijay Deverakonda, who has been struggling for a proper hit for some time, had pinned high hopes on Kingdom.

But it can be said that the film’s outcome has not lived up to his expectations. This is mainly due to a lack of novelty in the story and the emotions not connecting strongly with the audience. This is being cited as a key reason behind the film’s underwhelming reception. Although the first day’s openings were good, the real result will be known only after Friday’s collections and the weekend performance. In the movie Kingdom, Bhagyashree Borse acted opposite Vijay, while Anirudh’s background music played a crucial role. It significantly helped in elevating several episodes in the film.
