Bharta Mahashayulaku Vignapti Review: Ravi Teja Tries Something New
X

Hero Ravi Teja has been struggling with consecutive flops for some time now. Despite several attempts, he has not managed to score even a single hit. So, for this Sankranti, he changed his style, set aside the “Mass Maharaja” title, and experimented with the film Bharta Mahashayulaku Vignapti. Even though there were many films in the Sankranti race, he came before the audience with Bharta Mahashayulaku Vignapti without any hesitation. The film was released worldwide on January 13. Directed by Kishore Tirumala, the movie stars Ashika Ranganath and Dimple Hayathi opposite Ravi Teja. Now let us see whether this change in style and experiment turned out to be a success, and whether Sankranti, which usually favors Tollywood heroes, also worked in Ravi Teja’s favor or not.

Hero Ravi Teja runs a wine factory in Hyderabad along with his wife Dimple Hayathi. In order to increase their sales, he tries to enter into an agreement with a very reputed company in Spain. However, this attempt gets rejected. To find out the reason, Ravi Teja travels to Spain along with his PA Vennela Kishore to directly meet the company’s MD. The owner of this company is another heroine, Ashika Ranganath. While pretending to be a loyal aide to Ashika Ranganath, PA Satya secretly joins hands with her rivals to sabotage her business. During this time, Ravi Teja gets very close to the MD of a top wine business company in Spain. Using this to his advantage, he finalizes a deal and returns to Hyderabad. Ravi Teja hides the fact that he is married and gets close to the company MD in Spain. The film revolves around a story in which a wife who believes her husband is Ramudu, and another woman who holds a grudge after realizing that he hid his marriage from her even after getting married, leaving him caught in between.

Compared to his previous films, by selecting this story, it can be said that Ravi Teja has got back on track with a Sankranti release. Ravi Teja’s performance as a man torn between his wife and another woman is impressive. More than Dimple Hayathi, Ashika Ranganath attracted the audience with a glamorous role unlike anything she has played before. Although Satya’s comedy in the first half works well, at times it feels overdone. Vennela Kishore and Sunil appear in routine roles. Ajay Ghosh appears here and there as the villain, but it does not work out much. The mind game between Ravi Teja and Tarak Ponnappa also does not fully work. Producer Cherukuri Sudhakar did not compromise anywhere in the production of the film. Overall, even though Bharta Mahashayulaku Vignapti cannot be called a super-duper hit, it can be said that Ravi Teja has at least regained some footing with this film.
