Varanasi: Priyanka Chopra's New Look Goes Viral on Her Birthday

SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu's Varanasi has generated tremendous buzz among audiences. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 7 next year. The makers are planning to wrap up the shooting by October this year. On Saturday, the Varanasi team unveiled new looks of Priyanka Chopra, who plays Mahesh Babu's leading lady in the film. Sharing the images on the occasion of Priyanka Chopra's birthday, director S.S. Rajamouli and actor Mahesh Babu extended their birthday wishes to her. Priyanka Chopra is playing the role of Mandakini in Varanasi. Sharing her photos from the sets, Rajamouli captioned them: "She is beauty when she smiles... and a spark of fire when she doesn't."

Mahesh Babu, meanwhile, wished her saying, "Happy Birthday to our one and only Mandakini." Priyanka Chopra has been part of the film's shoot for the past 14 months. The Varanasi to the World video released earlier by the makers revealed that Mahesh Babu will be seen not only as Rudra but also as Lord Rama in the film. The newly released looks of Priyanka Chopra have now gone viral on social media. Produced under the Durga Arts banner, the film features Prithviraj Sukumaran as the antagonist, while M.M. Keeravani is composing the music. Although there has been no official confirmation, the film is reportedly being made on a massive budget of around ₹1,300 crore.
